HDPE GeocellProduct Description
High density polyethylene Geocell (HDPE Geocell) is a lightweight and flexible three-dimensional, expandable panels made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) strips which are ultrasonically bonded together to form an extremely strong configuration.
Width of the long strip is the height of the geocell, and the distance between two welding lines in the same side of the plate when the geocell is not expanded is welding distance.

Application
Geocells have been used in the following applications:
- It can protect earth from being eroded by winds and rains before grass growing up;
- It can keep grass seeds distributed in slope firmly, and avoid to be washed;
- Black mat can absorb thermal energy abundantly, increase ground wet, promote seed sprout, and prolong growth term of plants;
- The surface is tough, so wind and water stream can form plenty of eddy in the surface of the
- mat, which can produce energy dissipation function;
- Plants can form composite protection layer and endure wash with high water and fast speed;
- It can replace long-lasting slope protection materials such as concrete, pitch, block, etc., and can be used in slope protection such as road, railway, river, dam, mountain slope, etc.;

1.What is geocell used for?
Geocells are engineered for protection and stabilization applications. They are often used to help improve the performance of standard construction materials and erosion-control treatments.
2.Can geocell be cut?
GeoCell can be used for both cut and fill applications on retaining walls.
3.Can you use gravel grids on a slope?
You're absolutely right, gravel will be impractical for a drive with a slope like that. ... Shoes would sink into a thick layer of gravel, which would be more likely to stay in place on a 1:12 slope, and a thin layer would roll on the supporting bed of concrete or other hardstanding.
4.What is Geocell erosion control?
Geocell is a cellular confinement system fabricated from permeable geotextile, and used to combat erosion on slopes up to 45 degrees. The permeable nature of the geotextile allows water to flow freely between cells therefore encouraging drainage and vegetation growth, providing further erosion resistance.
5.How is geocell made?
Geocells are strong, lightweight, three dimensional systems fabricated from ultrasonically-welded High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) strips that are expandable on-site to form a honeycomb-like structure (Fig. 1). Geocells are filled with compact non-cohesive soils which are confined within the cellular walls.
